Pricing

Priced per PDF, by how much page your figure needs.

Rivet the jackdaw perches on the rim of a mug lined with paper, his nest, on a lamplit walnut desk. Below him a Plate|Fold price list reads $0 for every plan, its blank paper fold-out folded flat beside it.

A short silent scene, about seven seconds, then Rivet idles.

Every page size is free.

Plate|Fold is free and MIT-licensed. There is no paid tier and no per-PDF charge. All three plans are the same app: it turns Markdown, Word, Excel and CSV files into print-quality PDFs, and gives a wide diagram or table a page large enough to read it.

  • Note

    $0 per PDF

A page or two of Markdown.

  • Report

    $0 per PDF

Word documents with tables, images and diagrams.

  • Atlas

    $0 per PDF

The diagram that needs a landscape plate or its own sheet.

Why it costs nothing

I build these tools with a lot of help from AI, for my own homelab first. Sharing what comes out of that freely feels like the right way to pass it along. Paid software and the people who make it are worth paying for; this is my choice for these projects.

If you want to help anyway

Support is optional and goes to ProbablyFine, the home for my free projects. It helps cover the costs of publishing them, starting with code signing. It does not buy features, priority support or a say in the roadmap.

Free ways to help are just as welcome:

  • Tell someone whose diagrams never fit the page.
  • Report a bug you can reproduce.
  • Improve the docs or send a fix.
